My opinion, this course was difficult to learn. I thought read for detailed information to be difficult. This course was helps me to more practices reading and writing skill. I studied construction from made exercise. A discourse approach in reading are practice found the topic, main idea, and details. And significance identify genre of text and discourse markers, cause/effect discourse markers.

Week14 Problem and Solution (continued)

On Monday May 1, 2017

I learned the first passage was machine gun. The title was Solution to machine gun overheat and malfunction. The main idea was the machine gun overheat and malfunction can be addressed in a number of ways. And graphic organizer the topic Machine gun divided three solutions.

Then, the second passage was Amnesia. The title was How to prevent amnesia. Main idea was you can improve your memory through diet.
And graphic organizer the topic Amnesia divided one solution.
-diet almonds, walnuts, bananas, honey, apple, and black pepper.
After that, the third passage was Road accidents. The title was How to prevent Road Accidents Raising the minimum driving age. Main was we can prevent Road Accidents by Raising the minimum driving age. And graphic organizer the topic Road accidents divided one solution.
-rising the minimum driving age to 21 years old.
The fourth was Road Accident (Bicycles). The title was How to Save Cyclists from Road Accidents. The main idea was we can prevent cyclists from Road Accidents by putting in bike lanes.

Week13 Problem and Solution.

Week 11 Definition & Classification

Then, I read paragraphs Skill Practice 2 and found Classification Markers and draw a diagram show the classification. I think exercise was not easy.

We took a break at 10 o’clock.

After that, I read the texts “What is Anthropology?” and complete the diagram. The diagram was difficult.

I thought Definition Markers was easy but Classification Markers and written complete the diagram was difficult. So,
I practiced written complete the diagram and read text about Classification Markers. My attitude towards the lesson was not easy

Week 10 Cause & Effect

On Monday March 20, 2017

Today teacher came to class 7.25 am. First of all, she checked the list of name to know that who present, absent or late. After that she gave us a sheet it was about “Cause & Effect”

And then she let us did exercise because she had to attend the opening ceremony. The exercise was about read the text and answered that was cause or effect.

Cause and effect is a relationship between events or things, where one is the result of the other or others. This is a combination of action and reaction.
Words that signal causal relationships include: such as, because, so, consequently, therefore, thus, and since. To find an effect, readers ask, “What happened?” To find cause, readers ask “Why did this happen?” Informational articles are ideal selections for teaching cause/effect relationships because they provide explanations for readers that include reasons for various phenomenon.

Week 9 comparative & contrast(continued)

On Monday March 13, 201713.

First of all teacher let us checked the answer of homework in handout with friends. I studied unit :5 “Comparison and Contrast” I studied about “Hurricane Andrew and Hurricane Katrina” and “Men and Women: Do They Speak the Same Language?” I read text and analyse similarities and differences. The difference between “Hurricane Andrew and Hurricane Katrina”. Hurricane Andrew a category 5 hurricane its wind of 175 miles per hour. Storm surges nearly 17 feet. Estimated property damage was $25 billion and 26 people died. Hurricane Katrina a category 3 hurricane with wind of 120 miles per hour. A storm surges 12 feet. More than 1,800 people died and property damage was $81 billion. The similarities are caused suffering and devastation to the people. I thought this text was very easy.

I read text “Men and Women: Do They Speak the Same Language” and answer the questions.
The different personalities of men and women are native culture because they are raised to see the world in different ways, different life experiences, and different cultures. Men use language to show independence, status, and power such as "boss them around". Women use language to establish connection and intimacy such as "Let's go to the movie” Men and women have different conversational styles problems in communicating with other.

Today we had a midterm test. The test was easier than other test that teacher ever let us took. I can answer all of question and I felt proud.





Finally, I thought detail information this text was easy. But analyse similarities and differences and written a cohesive paragraph of comparison and contrast are more difficult. So, I practiced more read books, article, and write practice. My attitude towards the lesson was very difficult.

week 8 Procedure continues” and “Comparison and Contrast

We continued studying the lesson about Procedure. Last week we studied about how to cook, do or make something. But this class we studied how to used the toaster. The teacher told us step by step about how to use the toaster in our handout. Then we did the exercise.

Finally, I thought detail information this text was easy. But, complete word each sentences are difficult. So, I practiced more read books, recipe book etc. It helped written to the development and comprehend text by recognizing cohesion of text. My attitude towards the lesson was easy.

On Sunday January 29, 2017 I had class at 01.30 to 04.30 pm. Because teacher is going to Chiang Mai on Monday February 13, But that day I didn't go to class because the house was busy. So I asked a friend about the class that day. that class learned about Secrets By Tim Wintou



That day teacher assigned us to thing about the symbolic in this story.
The eggs = “Love” Firstly she yearned for it but then she realized that love wasn’t beautiful like she thought. Finally, she destroyed it like she thrown the chickens away.
The well = The area between children and adult She always excluded from adult world and be by herself in the special area.
The photos = The good memory for her but now she can’t get it back. It was the memory that had her father in there.
Kylie’s cutting of photos = “Freedom” she wanted to let herself freedom. She didn’t want to live with her mother. So she cut her head out of that photo and thrown it away

On Monday January 23, 2017.Teacher came to class at 08.30 am.she checked list of our name to know who was presented, absent or late and then she let us talked about the weekends. I let us checked the answer with friends and then she gave us the corrective feedback. And then she let us did the exercise in sheet to finished it before we started the new lesson.She let us read silently and answer the questions by ourselves

week 2 Recount

Today, The teacher entered the room before 5 minutes. Check the name and prepare. And Today began studying Recount Teachers have begun to describe the type of Recount, language Features.
What is a recount?
A recount tells about something that happened in the past. The details in a recount can include what happened, who was involved, where it took place, when it happened and why it occurred.

A writer or speaker uses a recount to tell us about a story or an event. Recounts are usually given in the order that the event occurred. Recounts can be:
factual, such as a news story
procedural, such as telling someone how you built something
personal, such as a family holiday or your opinion on a subject.

Language Feature of Recount
• Introducing personal participant; I, my group, etc
• Using chronological connection; then, first, etc
• Using linking verb; was, were, saw, heard, etc
• Using action verb; look, go, change, etc
